How OTPCabs collects, uses, and protects your personal data.

Last updated: 1 July 2026

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly — such as your name, phone number, email address, and payment details when you create an account or book a ride.

We also collect trip data (pickup, drop-off, route, timestamps), device information, and approximate location while the app is in use, to deliver and improve the service.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your data is used to match you with drivers, process payments, provide safety features such as live tracking and SOS, offer customer support, and improve our services.

We may send you service updates, receipts, and — with your consent — promotional communications, which you can opt out of at any time.

3. Sharing & Disclosure

We share only the minimum data needed with drivers to complete your trip (first name, pickup point, OTP status). We never sell your personal data.

We may share data with payment processors, cloud providers, and law-enforcement agencies when legally required.

4. Data Security & Retention

Personal data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Access is restricted on a need-to-know basis and audited regularly.

We retain trip records as required by law and delete or anonymise personal data when it is no longer needed.

5. Your Rights

You may access, correct, export, or delete your personal data from the app's Privacy Centre or by contacting privacy@otpcabs.com. See also our Account Deletion Policy and GDPR Compliance pages.
